What The Heavy Duty Snatch Pulley Block Is
A snatch block changes the direction of a wire rope and, when it is rigged as a moving block, halves the line pull needed to move the load. It is the simplest way to get more capacity out of a winch or a pulling hoist that is already on site.
The LH type is built for extreme conditions with a durable powder coat finish and sheave diameters from 75 mm to 600 mm. Every block is overload tested at 200 percent of its rated load individually before it is packed.

How To Use The Heavy Duty Snatch Pulley Block Safely
- Match the sheave diameter to the rope diameter using the table above.
- Check the anchor point can carry the resultant force, which can be higher than the load itself.
- Open the side plate to insert the rope rather than threading the whole rope through.
- Keep the rope in the sheave groove and check that the block aligns with the direction of pull.
- Inspect the sheave, the bushing and the side plates for wear before every job.
