First inspection round sling

Round sling is a common type of lifting work, well used in the industry of oil, crane, wind electricity, construction, offshore, logistics. First inspection round sling should be paid much attention before using, this step is easily to forget by workers.

1. Round sling appearance inspection.

 A standard round sling should be colored and marked the ton lines on the cover of round sling. For example, Carlstahl round sling 2T X 1.0/2.0M, green color, and 2 black ton lines on the appearance, sometimes marked WLL 2000kg(this is not necessity). And the cover is smooth and clear, no broken, you can’t not see the inner core..

• Label inspection.

The marking of label should include the following,

1. The working load limit, in straight pull;
2. The material of round sling, i.e. polyester;
3.  Grade of fitting;
4. The nominal length in m;
5. The manufacturer’s name, symbol, trade mark or other unambiguous identification;
6.  The traceability code;
7.  The number and relevant part of this European Standard EN 1492-2.

If the material is polyester, the label should be blue color.

• Sewing inspection.

 The sewing connecting part of round sling is line up, and strong enough if you pull this part. The sewing part is important decides the quality and lifetime. The thread of all seams shall be made of identical parent material as the cover and core, and the seam shall be made with a locking stitch machine according to EN1492-2.
