The 642 is the small-size plate in our standing pin plate range. It carries the same pin arrangement as the larger plates, two rows at three to four pins per centimetre with pins around 5 mm long, but on a shorter base.
A shorter plate follows the chain around a curve more closely, which matters where the pin bed has to negotiate a tighter radius or where the holder pitch is short.
