How It Works
Step By Step
We customise parts according to customer needs: pin plates, pin plate holders, clips, brush wheels and other metal parts.
Send the part
Send the best surviving example, not the most worn one, because we are copying the geometry from it. A dimensioned drawing works too, but on a machine that has been modified the part is more reliable than the drawing.
Review and quote
We check what is reproducible, what needs a material decision, and what is worth questioning. If the part failed early there is often a reason upstream, and copying it exactly repeats the problem.
First article
We make a first article and approve it against the sample before the batch runs. On a reverse engineered part this is the step that catches a misread dimension while it is still cheap.
Trial quantity
Most first orders are a trial section rather than a full bed, so you confirm fit on the machine before committing. We recommend this even when we are confident.
Record the specification
Once the trial is confirmed we record the specification against your account, so repeat orders are placed by reference and do not need another sample.
Repeat supply
From there it is a standing item: quoted, made and shipped on the recorded specification, normally within 7 days for parts we hold and to a confirmed lead time for made-to-order work.

What can you customise?

A sample part is better, especially on a machine that has been modified over its life. A drawing works where one exists and is current.
How much should I order first?
A trial section. Confirm fit on the machine before committing to a full bed or a full chain run.
Will the second order match the first?
Yes. We record the specification after the trial is confirmed, so repeat orders are made to the same recorded dimensions.
Can you make parts for a machine with no documentation?
Yes. Reverse engineering from a worn part is routine, which is how most legacy frame work starts.
What about material choice?
Tell us the line temperature and the chemistry. A part copied in the wrong material fits perfectly and fails early, which is worse than not fitting at all.
