The WK700 grinds straight knife cutters up to 700 mm long, 150 mm wide and 20 mm thick, with a maximum effective grinding length of 650 mm. The head adjusts from 0 to 90 degrees and drives a 150 x 50 x 32 mm wheel at 2840 rpm. At 1400 x 1200 x 610 mm and 230 kg it installs on a bench or stand in a maintenance workshop.
Who it is for: Sheet metal and fabrication workshops, woodworking mills, converting and packaging plants, food processors, and maintenance teams sharpening straight blades in house.
No foundation or rigging. The machine goes where the blades are, which is what makes daily sharpening realistic.
Heavy shear and chipper blades are handled, not just thin slitting knives.
Edge angle is set on the machine so each regrind repeats the blade's designed geometry.
A 60 W feed motor and 40 W water pump run independently of the 4 kW head motor, so coolant is never starved during a slow pass.
Too long for a surface grinder table, too short to justify a 2000 mm machine. The WK700 covers that gap.
Setting the head yourself from 0 to 90 degrees keeps the edge consistent with the blade's original specification.
The machine holds and traverses the blade, so 20 mm thick shear blades are ground rather than wrestled.

Grinding length is one of the things we modify. Send your blade dimensions and we quote the build. Above about 700 mm the WK2000 is usually the better answer.
