Our linear sharpening machines were built for exactly that geometry, and the same engineering approach is how we answer any part a standard grinder cannot take.

A 2000 mm guillotine blade has nowhere to sit on a 600 mm surface grinder table, and clamping it introduces the bow you are trying to grind out. A magnetic table the full length of the blade holds it flat while a travelling head takes the edge, in one pass and one reference.

The WK2000 takes a full 2000 mm blade on a 180 x 2000 mm magnetic table, so long guillotine and granulator knives are ground in one reference.
Single and double bevel edges are ground by swinging the head, which covers essentially any straight knife edge angle you need.
Wheel traverse from 0 to 20 metres per minute is set to the material, so soft blades are not burned and hard ones are not rushed.
Where nothing standard fits, we develop the bed, stroke and workholding from the drawing or the sample part you send, then prove it before shipping.
Grinding length and mass. The WK700 handles 700 mm blades at 230 kg, while the WK2000 takes 2000 mm blades on a 1750 kg machine with a full length magnetic table.

Often that is the better answer. Table extensions, different wheel heads, alternative controls and special fixtures are all changes we make to standard machines.
