Model MY3060 | Surface Grinding Machine

MY3060 Hydraulic Surface Grinding Machine

A 300 x 600 mm hydraulic surface grinder for small and medium parts in tool rooms and production plants.

Product Overview

What the MY3060 Does

The MY3060 is a hydraulically traversed surface grinder with a 300 x 600 mm table and a 600 kg load rating. Longitudinal stroke is 550 mm and cross travel is 300 mm, which covers the plate and block work most tool rooms see daily. It is rated for Ra 0.32 micron surface roughness, so parts leave the machine finished rather than needing a second operation.

Who it is for: Mould and die shops, jig and fixture makers, machine rebuilders, and production plants in machinery, steel, energy, automotive, aerospace, weapons and shipbuilding that finish small and medium sized parts in house.

Key Benefits

Four Reasons Buyers Choose This Model

Hydraulic Table Traverse

The table is moved by oil rather than by hand, which removes the reversal marks a handwheel leaves at each end of the stroke.

600 kg Table Capacity

A full die shoe or a stack of plates can be ground in one setup, so parallelism is referenced once instead of three times.

500 mm Wheel to Table Clearance

Tall fixtures and stacked workholding fit under the wheel without stripping the machine down.

Ra 0.32 Micron Rated Finish

Rated finish is fine enough for sealing faces and sliding surfaces that would otherwise go out for lapping.

Application Scenarios

Where the MY3060 Is Used

  • Grinding mould plates and die shoes flat and parallel before fitting
  • Finishing jig bases and fixture plates after hardening
  • Squaring machine parts for rebuild and retrofit work
  • Batch grinding of hardened steel blocks in machinery and automotive plants
  • Flatting sealing faces on hydraulic manifolds and valve bodies

Problems It Solves

Three Things This Machine Removes From Your Process

Milled Faces Are Never Flat Enough

Milling leaves cusps and stress relief distortion, particularly after heat treatment. A hydraulic surface grinder takes the face back to a single reference plane.

Manual Grinding Leaves Stroke Marks

Hand traversed tables mark the workpiece where the operator reverses. Hydraulic traverse holds a constant speed through the full stroke.

Lapping and Outside Finishing Cost Days

At Ra 0.32 micron the ground face is usually the final face, removing an outside operation from the routing.

Technical Features

How the Machine Is Built

  • Heavily ribbed cast iron bed and column for vibration damping
  • Hydraulic longitudinal table traverse with 550 mm stroke
  • 300 mm cross travel with a single 14 mm T slot on the table
  • Wheel up to 300 x 30 x 127 mm running at 1450 rpm
  • Maximum 500 mm from wheel centre to table for tall fixtures
  • Coolant system with settling tank for wet grinding
Materials and Construction

Structure and Consumables

Cast iron bed, column and table with hardened and ground slideways. Wheel, magnetic chuck and coolant filtration are specified with the machine to suit the workpiece material and hardness.

CertificationMachine specific certification is quoted on request and confirmed in writing before order. Documented certification status for this model is TBC.

Manufacturing Process

How the MY3060 Is Made

Six stages, each of them completed in our own hall in Shenzhen before the machine is crated.

Bed and column cast and stress relieved
Slideways machined, hardened and ground
Spindle assembly built and run in
Hydraulic circuit assembled and pressure tested
Geometry checked on the assembled machine
Test grinding under load before packing
Quality Control

Checked Before It Is Crated

  • Table flatness and parallelism checked against the spindle axis
  • Spindle run out measured before wheel mounting
  • Hydraulic traverse speed checked through the full stroke
  • Test pieces ground and measured for finish and parallelism
  • Electrical safety and earth continuity check before crating
Customisation Options

What We Change on Request

  • Magnetic chuck size and pole pitch to suit your parts
  • Coolant filtration and magnetic separator options
  • Wheel balancing stand and diamond dresser packages
  • Voltage and frequency set for your local supply
  • Wheel specification matched to your material and hardness

Comparison

How It Compares With Our Other Machines

Within the WUK surface grinding range the MY3060 is the manual feed starting point. The AHD models add servo vertical feed and longer travels.

Use Guide

Getting Good Parts Off the MY3060

  • Level the machine on its feet and confirm table flatness before the first job
  • Mount and balance the wheel on a balancing stand, then dress it on the machine
  • Set the magnetic chuck and check the workpiece is seated with no chip under it
  • Take a spark out pass at zero down feed before measuring
  • Dress the wheel whenever the finish degrades rather than increasing feed pressure
  • Keep coolant concentration and cleanliness in range to protect the finish
Questions

MY3060 Questions

What is the largest part this machine will grind?

The table is 300 x 600 mm with 550 mm of longitudinal stroke and 300 mm of cross travel, carrying up to 600 kg.

Is the vertical feed automatic?

No. The MY3060 uses manual down feed with hydraulic longitudinal traverse. If you need automatic down feed between passes, look at the 3060AHD, which shares the same table size.

What surface finish can I expect?

The machine is rated at Ra 0.32 micron. Achieved finish depends on the wheel, the dress condition, the coolant and the material.

Does the price include a magnetic chuck?

Chucks are quoted with the machine rather than assumed, because pole pitch should match your part size. Send your typical part dimensions and we will specify one.

How is the machine packed and shipped?

In a plywood case lined with plastic film, bolted to the case base. We quote EXW, FOB, CFR or CIF from Shenzhen.

What support is available after delivery?

12 months warranty on the machine, with setup, wheel selection and fault finding support from our engineers on WhatsApp or email.
