A surface grinder earns its place when the parts leaving it need no further flatting. WUK builds three table sizes on the same heavy cast iron column, from the hydraulic MY3060 through to the servo controlled 4080AHD, so a tool room can start manual and move to automatic feed without retraining operators on a different geometry.

Mould plates, die shoes and jig bases arrive from milling with 0.1 mm of stock and a wavy face. Grinding them on a light machine means chatter marks, a second pass and an operator babysitting the handwheel. These machines take the stock off in controlled automatic increments and leave a finish that goes straight to assembly.

All three models carry 600 kg on the table, so a full die shoe can be ground in one setup instead of being split and re-referenced.
The MY3060 is rated at Ra 0.32 micron surface roughness with a dressed wheel, which is finish grinding rather than stock removal.
The AHD models step the wheel down automatically between passes, so the cycle runs to size without an operator at the handwheel.
A 350 x 40 x 127 mm wheel on the AHD machines covers a wide contact area, cutting pass count on long plates.
Both have a 300 x 600 mm table. The MY3060 is hydraulic with manual down feed, while the 3060AHD adds servo controlled vertical feed, automatic down feed from 0.1 to 8 mm and a longer 720 mm X axis travel.

The AHD models are specified for both. Table and wheel speeds change with supply frequency, so wheel speed is 1450 rpm at 50 Hz and 1740 rpm at 60 Hz. Tell us your supply when you order.
