Welded stainless steel round pipe is made by forming stainless strip into a cylinder and closing it with a continuous longitudinal weld, supplied to ASTM A312, EN10216 or JIS G3463 in grades from 201 and 430 through 304, 316L and 310S to 2205 and 904L. Process pipework contractors, dairy and brewery installers and handrail fabricators specify it where a full round section is needed for flow, for bending or for a clean tubular appearance. Because diameter, wall and length are made to order, a line can be piped in the size the flow calculation asks for instead of the nearest size a merchant keeps on the rack. The order threshold is 1 ton and a free sample can be released so the inside seam and the surface can be inspected first.
