Specifying Handling and Welding Notes
- Match the grade to the corrosion medium and reserve the acid resistant types for acid alkali and salt exposure

What sheet sizes and thicknesses are standard?
Standard sizes are 1000*2000mm and 1220*2440mm with customized sizes available, and thickness runs from 2mm to 100mm.
What is the difference between the surface finishes you list?
NO.1 is the hot rolled annealed and pickled condition, 2B is cold rolled and bright, BA is bright annealed, HL is a brushed hairline, 8K is mirror polished and embossed is a patterned finish. All six are available on the order.
How much chromium does the material contain?
Stainless steel contains a minimum of approximately 11% chromium, which is the composition that prevents the iron from rusting and also gives heat resistant properties.
Is the sheet suitable for direct food contact?
