The Four Ways a Tooling Project Goes Wrong
None of these are surprises. They are what happens when the engineering is left until after the steel is cut.
- A mold quoted without a study, so the first trial is also the first analysis
- A design that arrives as a layout rather than as a finished, reviewed set
- Side actions that meet on the first close because the sequence was never simulated
- Corrections argued verbally because no sample dimension report was ever issued

Quality Control Starts at the Kick Off Meeting
Quality is the most important thing for a mold-making company and we never compromise on it. For a new project the control starts at the initial stage — pre-DFM, mold design, fabrication, mold trials and final inspection before delivery. All of these steps have to be checked and controlled.

How long has JEC Mold been making molds?
Since 2011. We are a middle-sized tool shop of fifty people in Dongguan and have devoted ourselves to precision mold-making since the company started.
Where do your molds go?
Ninety percent of our molds serve global markets such as Europe, North America and Australia. Export tooling is the normal case for us rather than the exception.
Do you only build molds, or can you mold the parts too?
Both. Mold-making is ninety percent of our business and injection production is the other ten percent, and both sit inside the same ISO 9001:2015 scope.

Can you build die casting tooling as well as injection molds?
