Appliance Panel Tooling
Large thin appliance panels are won or lost on warpage
What Makes This Part Family Hard
A chassis base panel or a front grille frame is large, thin and full of local stiffness changes. It fills easily and then moves as it cools — enough to fight its own screw bosses, enough to open a gap on an assembled product.
Customer names and program data are not published. What follows is how we take tooling of this type, and the photographs are of our own work.
How We Take It
Warpage before cooling
The cooling layout is set from the warpage run rather than from a standard pitch.
Ejection planned against the bow
The ejection layout and concept are reviewed in the DFM, because a panel that bows is a panel that drags on ejection.
Thickness study on the part, not the tool
Draft angle analysis and product thickness study are DFM items, so stiffness changes are caught as part changes while they are still cheap.
Corrections made against a trial report
Mold trial reports and the sample dimension report give a measured starting point for the first correction.

The Photographs on This Page
The tooling shown is JEC work: a large cavity plate carrying an appliance panel form with its guide bores and cooling pattern.
Quality Route
- Electrode dimension and surface finish inspection
- Steel dimension inspection after machining
- Mold trial reports with a sample dimension report (FAI)
- Final mold inspection and packing inspection

Is this a named customer project?
No. We do not publish customer names or program data. This profile describes a part family we have tooled and the engineering decisions it forces; the photographs are our own work.
Can you take on work like this?
Yes — this is the kind of tooling we build. Send the 3D data, the resin and the annual volume and a professional quotation comes back within two working days.
What evidence comes with the tool?
Mold trial reports with a sample dimension report (FAI), then final mold inspection and packing inspection before shipment.
Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?
That is normal for tooling work and we treat customer data as confidential by default. Send your own form with the enquiry. Specific terms: TBC.
