Medical Devices Tooling and Molded Parts
Clear thin wall components and the mirror finished tooling behind them
What This Sector Gets Wrong
Medical parts are inspected by eye before they are inspected by gauge. Connectors, filter chambers, cuvettes and clear cassettes all show every mark the cavity leaves behind, and a tool that cannot hold a polish cannot hold the program.
What Buyers Need
- Cavity surfaces finished and inspected before first trial
- Dimensional evidence from the trial, not a verbal assurance
- Repeatable wall sections on thin and clear geometry
- A documented change path when the device design moves
What We Deliver
- Mirror polishing and surface finish review inside the DFM
- Steel hardness inspection and steel certification on incoming material
- Sample dimension report (FAI) issued with the mold trial
- ISO 9001:2015 quality management covering mold design, manufacture and service

Medical Devices Buyers Ask
Have you tooled for the medical devices sector before?
Yes. The parts shown on this page are our own work in that sector: clear medical optical cover, transparent medical cassette housing, blue medical connector cap.
What engineering comes before the tool is cut?
A written DFM for your comment, a practical MoldFlow study on mass production molds, and for multi-action tools a mold motion simulation that steps through open to close.
Which mold standards do you work to?
Your own standard, or DME, Meusburger, HASCO, Progressive or MISUMI. Our senior designers read customer standards and special requirements in English.
What arrives with the tool?
Mold trial reports with a sample dimension report, after which the tool passes final mold inspection and packing inspection before shipment.
Can you second-source an existing tool for this sector?
That is a normal request. Send the existing 3D data and the part drawing and we will quote a new tool against it within two working days. Transfer of an existing physical tool: TBC per project.
