Handheld Electronics Tooling and Molded Parts
Two shot enclosures grips and keypads for instruments people hold all day
What This Sector Gets Wrong
A handheld enclosure is a product people judge with their hands. The soft grip has to bond, the color split has to be crisp, and the housing still has to take being dropped onto a concrete floor.
What Buyers Need
- A first shot that does not move under the second
- Clean material boundaries on visible faces
- Bond strength between rigid and elastomer zones
- Enclosure halves that stay in register after molding
What We Deliver
- Two-shot tool design with the rotation strategy settled in the DFM
- Mold motion simulation for the transfer sequence
- CNC and EDM machined shut-off details on both stations
- Trial samples inspected and reported before production release

Handheld Electronics Buyers Ask
Have you tooled for the handheld electronics sector before?
Yes. The parts shown on this page are our own work in that sector: two shot ribbed panel, two shot handheld terminal housing, two shot handheld device enclosure.
What engineering comes before the tool is cut?
A written DFM for your comment, a practical MoldFlow study on mass production molds, and for multi-action tools a mold motion simulation that steps through open to close.
Which mold standards do you work to?
Your own standard, or DME, Meusburger, HASCO, Progressive or MISUMI. Our senior designers read customer standards and special requirements in English.
What arrives with the tool?
Mold trial reports with a sample dimension report, after which the tool passes final mold inspection and packing inspection before shipment.
Can you second-source an existing tool for this sector?
That is a normal request. Send the existing 3D data and the part drawing and we will quote a new tool against it within two working days. Transfer of an existing physical tool: TBC per project.
