Running The Novo Pro 12L Day To Day
- Fill the clean water tank with distilled water below 15 microsiemens per cm and check the level indicator
- Run the daily test programme before the first patient load
- Load trays so pouches lie flat with the paper side up and do not touch the chamber wall
- Select the program that matches the load: wrapped, hollow or solid
- Use extra drying for dense instrument assemblies or anything that has come out damp before
- Empty the waste water tank when prompted and never return waste water to the clean tank
- Keep the SD card in place so every cycle is recorded, and archive the file periodically

Novo Pro 12L Questions
What is the difference between Class B and Class N sterilization
Class B uses fractionated vacuum to pull air out of the chamber before steam enters, so steam reaches wrapped instruments and the inside of hollow handpieces. Class N handles unwrapped solid instruments only. The Novo Pro 12L runs Class B cycles conforming to EN 13060.
What water does the sterilizer need
Feed water must meet EN 13060 Annex C, which means conductivity below 15 microsiemens per centimetre. Distilled water from a Distilo water distiller meets this. Tap water scales the boiler and shortens the life of the machine.
How are cycle records kept for an inspection
Every cycle is written to SD card or thermal printer. A built in automatic printer and an external printer are both available as options, so a paper record can be attached to the day sheet as well.
Can it be used at altitude
The unit is rated to 2000 m above sea level. Above that height it must not be used, because the pressure and temperature relationship the cycle depends on no longer holds.
