Planning MOQ Packing And Container Loading

Two questions decide whether a first order is practical: what the minimum order quantity applies to, and whether the mix you want will fill a container sensibly. Both are answerable from published data before you talk to anyone.

What The Minimum Applies To

Minimum order quantity is per model, and per colour within that model. It is not a minimum for the whole order. That distinction matters more than the number itself, because it means a mixed range can be built from several models that each meet their own minimum.

A stock-colour order can be smaller than a customised one, which is the usual route into a new market: prove the models first, brand them on the second order.

Reading The Carton Figures

Every product page publishes pieces per inner box, pieces per master carton, and the master carton dimensions in centimetres. That is everything you need to estimate volume before anyone quotes you freight.

• A 16 inch sausage gun carton is typically 60.8 x 54 x 35.5 cm for 20 pieces
• A 9 inch cartridge gun carton is typically 45.5 x 23 x 23.5 cm for 20 pieces
• Foam guns are typically 38 x 34 x 52 cm for 40 pieces
• Economy frame guns pack 50 pieces per carton at 36 x 36 x 30 cm
• Suction cups are one per inner box with 10, 20 or 30 per master carton

Note how much that varies in pieces per cubic metre. The economy frame guns are the most efficient thing in the catalogue to ship and the powered guns in carry cases are the least, which is worth knowing before you build a range around the powered models.

Building A Mixed Container

1. List the models and quantities you want, checking each against its own minimum.
2. Convert each to cartons using the published pieces per carton.
3. Multiply out the carton volumes and compare against your container's usable volume.
4. Adjust the mix, usually by adding high-density economy models, rather than dropping a model below its minimum.
5. Add a spares allocation: push plates, rods, handle sleeves, rubber pads.
6. Send the final list to us and we will confirm the loading with you.

Cartons are counted against the packing list as they go into the container at our own factory door. The count on your document is the count that was loaded, which is not something you should have to hope for.

Things We Do Not Publish, And Why

We do not publish production lead times, monthly capacity, or a list of export countries, because those figures do not appear anywhere in our own verified materials and we would rather tell you nothing than tell you something we cannot stand behind. Send a model list and quantity and we will give you a real date before you commit to anything.

Spares Are Part Of The Order

If you sell to contractors, the parts that wear are push plates, push rods, handle sleeves and rubber suction pads. Ordering them with the guns costs almost nothing in freight because they fill gaps in the load; ordering them afterwards costs an air freight bill or a lost customer.
