Pointing mortar by trowel is slow and messy, and the residue on the face of the brick or tile has to be cleaned off afterwards. A pointing gun puts the mortar in the joint and nowhere else. The failure point on cheap ones is always the plunger or the rod, which is why these use enlarged thickened plungers and reinforced stainless steel rods.

What Makes This Range Different
Nozzle Sets, Not A Single Nozzle
JS8614-3 ships with five detachable nozzles and JS8614-2 with three, in round and flat profiles. Joint width changes on site, and changing a nozzle is faster than changing a tool.
Reinforced Stainless Steel Rod
The rod is the part that bends when mortar sets stiff. Both the ABS models use a thickened stainless steel rod specifically to resist deformation over a long service life.
Enlarged Thickened Plunger
An undersized plunger cracks where it meets the rod. The plunger on these models is enlarged and thickened at that junction, which is the difference between a season and several.
Stainless Steel Option
JS8614-1 is a full stainless steel body at 751 g with high-wear rubber sealing rings, for buyers who would rather pay once than replace a plastic gun each year.

How many nozzles come with each gun?
JS8614-3 comes with five interchangeable nozzles, JS8614-2 with three. JS8614-1 is offered with a choice of nozzle shapes; tell us the joint widths you work with and we will confirm which set to pack.
Which body material should I choose?
High-strength ABS on JS8614-2 and JS8614-3 is lighter and cheaper: 579 g and 650 g. Stainless steel on JS8614-1 is 751 g and will take more abuse and more cleaning cycles.
Can these guns handle grout as well as mortar?
They are designed for cement mortar loaded into the barrel by hand. For two-component epoxy grout from a cartridge, use a ratio gun from the grout and anchor category instead.
What is the minimum order quantity?
2,000 pieces for a customised version on all three models. Stock yellow is available on the two ABS models.
How do they pack for shipping?
JS8614-2 packs one per poly bag, 30 per carton at 68 x 46 x 38 cm. JS8614-1 and JS8614-3 pack 20 per carton at 70 x 45 x 54 cm.
Are spare plungers and sealing rings available?
Yes. The plunger, rod and rubber sealing rings are the wearing parts and are all available as spares, which matters if you are supplying contractors rather than one-off buyers.
