LTL863 is a radial trailer tyre designed for regional haulage fleets that operate on paved roads with moderate off-road exposure. The tread pattern is engineered for balanced performance across long-distance highway runs and occasional unsurfaced feeder routes.

What LTL863 Is Built For
LTL863 is a radial trailer tyre designed for regional haulage fleets that operate on paved roads with moderate off-road exposure. The tread pattern is engineered for balanced performance across long-distance highway runs and occasional unsurfaced feeder routes. Low rolling resistance reduces fuel consumption, while the wear-resistance compound minimizes tread block shifting to prevent uneven wear. It is suitable for trailers used in distribution, logistics and regional freight networks across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Europe and Oceania.
Manufacturer Feature Claims
- Typical combined pattern design offers optimal trailer performance
- Low rolling resistance
- Wear-resistance compound reduces shifting to prevent uneven wear
Key Benefits
- Radial construction with low rolling resistance improves fuel efficiency on highway routes
- Wear-resistance compound reduces tread block shifting to extend tread life
- Optimal trailer performance across mixed paved and light off-road conditions
- Six load index options from 158 to 169 cover most regional trailer axle loads
- Speed symbols K and J(L)/J/K allow operation up to 110 km/h and 100 km/h respectively
Problems It Solves
- High rolling resistance in non-radial or older trailer tyres increases fuel costs on long hauls
- Tread block shifting in low-quality compounds causes uneven wear and early casing failure
- Fleets needing multiple trailer patterns for different regions face higher inventory and fitting costs
- Inconsistent load capacity across sizes leads to over-specification or under-rating
- Lack of standardised marking and documentation complicates import compliance
Who It Is For
- Tyre distributors supplying regional haulage fleets in Asia, Africa and South America
- Fleet operators replacing trailer tyres that wear unevenly or have high rolling resistance
- Logistics companies seeking consistent trailer tyre performance across mixed-surface routes
- Importers buying by container who need one pattern for multiple trailer axle loads
- Government and tender buyers specifying trailer tyres for regional freight contracts
Application Scenarios
- Regional distribution trailers running daily between urban hubs and rural depots
- Logistics fleets operating on paved highways with occasional access to gravel or dirt access roads
- Freight carriers transporting goods across mixed-surface routes in developing markets
- Fleets requiring consistent trailer tyre performance without frequent replacements
- Importers sourcing one trailer pattern that meets multiple regional market requirements
Technical Features
- Radial casing construction with a typical combined tread pattern for trailer performance
- Low rolling resistance design reduces fuel consumption on highway routes
- Wear-resistance compound minimises tread block movement to prevent uneven wear
- Tread depth ranges from 16.5 mm to 18.0 mm, with operation depth specified per size
- Available in 8 sizes across 385/65R22.5, 425/65R22.5, 445/65R22.5 and 385/55R22.5 formats

Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not
Compared With Non-radial trailer tyres
LTL863 offers lower rolling resistance and better fuel efficiency, but non-radial tyres may be cheaper upfront
Compared With Heavy-duty off-road trailer tyres
LTL863 has lower tread depth and less aggressive tread, so it wears faster on mud or gravel but performs better on paved roads
Compared With Single-pattern trailer tyres from multiple plants
One supplier and one bill of lading reduce paperwork and simplify container loading across multiple sizes and brands
Use Guide
- Match ply rating to your actual axle load; overspecifying increases cost and reduces ride comfort
- Check the standard rim listed against your wheel: 11.75 for 385/65R22.5, 12.25 for 425/65R22.5 and 385/55R22.5, 13.00 for 445/65R22.5
- Inflate to the pressure shown for your load in the size table; dual and single fitment pressures differ
- Rotate trailer positions before irregular wear sets in, especially on fleets with uneven load distribution
- Inspect tread depth regularly; operation depth is specified per size and may affect retreadability
LTL863 Buying Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We load by full container. A 40HQ of LTL863 typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or has to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation rather than quoting a standard figure.
Which sizes are available?
385/65R22.5 in 18PR and 20PR, 425/65R22.5 in 18PR and 20PR, 445/65R22.5 in 20PR, and 385/55R22.5 in 18PR and 20PR. Full load index, rim and pressure data for each is in the size table on this page.
Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us the import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.
What warranty do you give?
One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment itself.
Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?
Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.
Which load index should I use?
Use the load index that matches your axle load. For example, 168 is for 5600 kg dual, 169 for 5800 kg dual. Do not overspecify to avoid unnecessary cost.
