KTD101-New is a radial drive-axle truck tyre designed for regional and national transport fleets that operate on highways, national roads, and general roads. The shoulder block pattern is optimised to resist damage from lateral forces and edge impacts, which commonly occur during cornering and on uneven road surfaces.

What KTD101-New Is Built For
KTD101-New is a radial drive-axle truck tyre designed for regional and national transport fleets that operate on highways, national roads, and general roads. The shoulder block pattern is optimised to resist damage from lateral forces and edge impacts, which commonly occur during cornering and on uneven road surfaces. The tyre carries the M+S marking, ensuring it remains legal for use in regions with seasonal winter driving requirements. It offers high wear resistance, making it suitable for extended service cycles in mixed-duty environments. Two sizes are available: 12R22.5 16PR and 12R22.5 18PR, both with a 22.0 mm tread depth and load capacity up to 3550 kg single at 850 kPa.
Manufacturer Feature Claims
- Suitable for the Drive Axle of Trucks Running on Highway,National Road,General Road
- Optimization of the shoulder block improves resistance to shoulder damage
- Lasting grip and stability,with M+S marking
- High wear resistance
Key Benefits
- Optimised shoulder block reduces damage from lateral forces and edge impacts on national and general roads
- M+S marking ensures legal compliance for winter driving in markets requiring seasonal tyre changes
- High wear resistance extends service life in regional and national transport routes
- Two ply ratings (16PR and 18PR) allow matching to axle load and road conditions
- 22.0 mm tread depth provides long tread life across both size variants
Problems It Solves
- Shoulder damage from repeated cornering and edge contact on national and general roads shortens tyre life
- Seasonal tyre changeover increases cost and operational downtime in markets with winter regulations
- Low wear resistance leads to early tread wear on high-mileage regional routes
- Mismatched ply rating to axle load results in over-specification or under-performance
- Multiple suppliers and paperwork for different sizes increase procurement complexity
Who It Is For
- Regional transport operators sourcing tyres for drive axles on national and general road routes
- Fleet managers replacing tyres that fail prematurely due to shoulder damage on curved or rough roads
- Distributors supplying tyres to transport companies in markets with winter driving regulations
- Importers buying mixed container loads of regional drive tyres across multiple sizes and brands
- Contractors operating in developing regions where road surfaces vary from paved to gravel
Application Scenarios
- Regional haulage trucks running daily between distribution centres on national and general roads
- Fleets operating on mixed routes with paved highways and unsealed feeder roads in developing markets
- Trucks used in agricultural transport that travel on rural roads with frequent cornering and edge contact
- Urban delivery trucks making repeated turns on city streets with curbs and potholes
- Fleets that need a single drive-axle tyre pattern for year-round use without seasonal changeover
Technical Features
- Shoulder block pattern optimised for resistance to lateral damage and edge wear
- M+S marking for compliance with winter driving regulations in certain markets
- High wear resistance for extended service life on regional and national transport routes
- Radial casing construction with 22.0 mm tread depth across both listed sizes
- Designed specifically for drive axle use on highways, national roads, and general roads

Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not
Compared With Long-haul highway drive tyres
KTD101-New prioritises shoulder durability and stability on general roads over rolling resistance and highway mileage; long-haul patterns may last longer on pure highway routes but fail faster on rougher surfaces
Compared With Off-road or mining drive tyres
A deep-lug off-road pattern offers better traction in mud and gravel but wears faster and runs noisier on paved national roads; KTD101-New is designed for mixed paved and general road use
Compared With Tyres without M+S marking
In markets requiring winter compliance, a non-M+S tyre must be replaced seasonally; KTD101-New eliminates the need for seasonal changeover
Use Guide
- Match ply rating to your actual axle load, not to the highest available rating – overspecifying increases cost and reduces ride comfort
- Verify the standard rim width (9.00) against your wheel before ordering
- Inflate to the pressure shown in the size table for your load – dual and single fitment pressures are the same for this model
- Rotate drive positions before irregular wear becomes visible, especially on fleets with one-way loading patterns
- Inspect shoulder areas after long runs on rough roads to detect early signs of block damage
KTD101-New Buying Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We load by full container. A 40HQ of 12R22.5 typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or needs to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation.
Which sizes are available?
12R22.5 16PR and 12R22.5 18PR. Full load index, rim, pressure, and tread depth data for each is in the size table on this page.
Is this tyre legal for winter use?
It carries the M+S marking, which is required for winter use in many markets. Confirm your local regulation before ordering.
Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us your import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply before you place the order.
What warranty do you give?
One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment.
Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?
Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.
