Why This Route Exists
Forging forms a continuous metal flow line through the part, which raises strength, reliability and service life compared with a casting of the same shape. Eurona covers closed die forging, rolled ring forging and open die forging.
The scope serves high strength connectors, construction machinery parts, agricultural machinery parts, oil and gas equipment and wind power components, backed by CMM, 3D scanning, mechanical testing and NDT.
Published Specifications
These are the figures published for this process family. Values that depend on the specific part are confirmed during drawing review.

Process And Quality Capability
Zeiss and Hexagon three coordinate measurement of critical dimensions and assembly positions.
Complex surfaces, contours and sample development stage dimensional verification.
Tensile, hardness, -60 °C impact, metallographic and chemical composition testing.
UT, MT, PT and RT non destructive testing.
Leak testing, roughness, inner diameter and roundness related checks.
What Usually Goes Wrong Without This Route
- A cast connector keeps cracking in service and the design needs forged grain flow instead.
- Large rings are bought abroad at long lead time because the local supplier cannot roll the diameter.
- Low temperature impact values are required but the forge has no -60 °C test capability.
Industries Served

Casting or Forging How to Choose for a Load Bearing Part
The decision between a casting and a forging is usually made on shape complexity and load type rather than on price. This guide sets out the practical criteria.
Buying GuideWhat NDT and Quality Documents to Specify on a Casting Order
Most acceptance disputes come from an inspection scope that was never agreed. This guide covers what to specify and when to specify it.

Precision Forging — Frequently Asked Questions
What weight range does precision forging cover?
Equipment 300 T - 8000 T; product weight 0.2 kg - 100 kg
Which materials are available for precision forging?
C22E / 20, C35E / 35, C45E / 45, C55E / 55
Can machining and surface treatment be included?
Yes. CNC machining, dimensional control, surface treatment and necessary pre-assembly are coordinated in the same supply chain, so parts can be delivered finished to the drawing.
What is needed to get a quotation?
Drawings, material, quantity, quality standard and target delivery date. Those five items allow a process route and a suitable production base to be proposed.
