PEEK Nut For Monforts Stenters Brown

Self-lubricating adjustable nut for the guide rod that widens the rail, in sizes 44x7, 44x6 and 45x6.

Product Overview

To be exact, the PEEK nut is the adjustable nut of the setting machine lead rod, the part that helps the guide rail to be widened. It is made from PEEK resin, a high performance thermoplastic with high temperature resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low noise, corrosion resistance and high strength.

Because PEEK is self-lubricating, the nut does not require molybdenum disulfide. It is not easy to break, it resists high temperature and corrosion, it wears slowly and it has a longer service life than the parts it replaces. This is the brown grade, supplied in 44 by 7, 44 by 6 and 45 by 6.

Key Benefits

  • Self-lubricating, so molybdenum disulfide is not required
  • Not easy to break under the load of widening the rail
  • High temperature and corrosion resistance inside the chamber
  • Longer service life than the nut it replaces

Who It Is For

  • Monforts users maintaining the rail widening mechanism
  • Engineers removing molybdenum disulfide from the maintenance routine
  • Maintenance stores holding lead rod nuts as a consumable

Problems It Solves

  • Widening gear binding because the nut has worn or seized
  • Molybdenum disulfide being applied to a mechanism inside a hot chamber
  • Nuts breaking under load and stopping rail adjustment

Application Scenarios

  • Monforts frames where the widening gear has become stiff or noisy
  • Rail widening mechanisms that have been running on molybdenum disulfide
  • Routine renewal of the lead rod nuts during a planned shutdown

Technical Features

  • PEEK resin: high temperature resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low noise, corrosion resistance, high strength
  • Adjustable nut of the setting machine lead rod, helping the guide rail widen
  • Sizes 44x7, 44x6 and 45x6
  • Brown grade, approximate weight 0.238 kg

Certifications. We make no certification claim for this part. The original company statement is that products comply with international quality standards; no certificate is named and none is asserted here. Ask us directly if your procurement process requires documentation.

Comparison With Other Options

Against a metal nut, PEEK removes the need for molybdenum disulfide and does not seize, at the cost of a higher unit price. Against the black PEEK grade we also supply, the difference is the material grade rather than the function; both are self-lubricating.

Use Guide

Measure the existing nut before ordering; 44x7, 44x6 and 45x6 are our standard sizes

Inspect the lead rod thread while the nut is off, because a damaged rod will destroy a new nut

Fit without forcing, and do not apply molybdenum disulfide

Run the widening mechanism through its full travel after fitting

Renew all nuts on the mechanism together so travel stays even

FAQ

Questions About PEEK Nut For Monforts Stenters Brown

What exactly is a PEEK nut?

It is the adjustable nut of the setting machine lead rod, the part that helps the guide rail to be widened.

Do I still need molybdenum disulfide?

No. PEEK is self-lubricating, so the molybdenum disulfide used on the older nuts is not required.

What sizes do you hold?

44 by 7, 44 by 6 and 45 by 6. Other sizes are machined to your sample.

Why PEEK rather than metal?

PEEK resists high temperature, wear and corrosion, is self-lubricating and low noise, is not easy to break, and lasts longer. That combination is why it is widely used in textile machinery.

Brown or black grade, does it matter?

Both are PEEK and both are self-lubricating. Tell us which you currently run and we match it.

Lead time?

Within 7 days for standard sizes.
