Poultry Feed Cone Granary
A cone bottom granary for finished feed and mash, sized for farms and feed plants that need the silo to empty completely between batches.

What This Machine Does
A cone bottom granary for finished feed and mash, sized for farms and feed plants that need the silo to empty completely between batches. The cone discharges by gravity into a conveyor, an auger or a delivery point below.
Key Benefits
- Complete gravity discharge so feed batches do not mix
- Cone base removes the need for manual cleanout between deliveries
- Sealed galvanized shell keeps feed dry and out of reach of weather
- Bolted construction that ships flat and erects on a simple concrete base
- Sizes and groupings arranged to the farm or plant layout
Problems It Solves
- Feed left in the bottom of a flat bin goes stale and contaminates the next batch
- Bagged feed storage costs labour and bag material
- Feed picks up moisture and cakes when storage is not sealed
- Deliveries cannot be discharged quickly without a cone and an outlet valve
Who It Is For
- Poultry and livestock farms
- Feed mills storing finished product
- Integrators delivering feed to contract farms
- Biomass and pellet producers storing finished pellets
Application Scenarios
- Finished feed storage at poultry and livestock farms
- Feed plant storage between pelleting and delivery
- Mash storage ahead of bagging
- Raw material storage for a small feed line
Technical Features
- Cone bottom with gravity discharge and outlet arrangement per site
- Corrugated hot dip galvanized sheets bolted with sealed connecting holes
- Roof filling point with sealed connection to the sidewall
- Support legs and base plate designed to the foundation drawing
- Access ladder with guard rings and inspection door
Poultry Feed Cone Granary Model Table
Figures below are taken from the TITAN model sheets. Where a figure depends on the crop or the contamination level it is stated that way rather than averaged.
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Construction | Bolted corrugated hot dip galvanized sheets with vertical stiffeners |
| Zinc coating | 275 g/m2, 300 g/m2 and 350 g/m2 plate, shell coating equivalent to 600 g/m2 |
| Steel grade | Structural galvanized steel S350GD |
| Diameter range | 2 m to 32 m, larger on request |
| Height to diameter ratio | Between 1:1.1 and 1:2 |
| Capacity per silo | 10 t to 15000 t |
| Battery capacity | 1500 t to 20000 t for flat bottom groups |
| Fittings | Repair door, outside ladder with guard rings, access door, sweeper |
How This Machine Is Built
Quality Control
- Zinc coating weight specified on the plate, not left as a general galvanized claim
- Connecting holes sealed with age resistant and waterproof daub belts of aviation grade
- High strength bolts used with round galvanized steel washers at every joint
- Roof to sidewall connection sealed to keep stored product away from moisture
- Erection supervised through the bolting sequence by TITAN engineers
Materials And Wear Parts
- Hot dip galvanized steel plate
- Structural galvanized steel
- High strength bolts
Customisation Options
- Granary volume set from the feed consumption and delivery interval
- Outlet arrangement for auger, conveyor or direct bagging
- Leg height for the discharge point required
- Group layouts for several feed types
Use Guide
- Size the granary from consumption per week and the delivery interval
- Set the leg height so the discharge lands where the feed is used
- Keep the outlet valve closed while filling
- Inspect the cone and outlet for build up between batches
- Check roof seals after storms
How It Compares With The Alternatives
| Bagged feed storage | Bulk handling with no bags to buy, stack or dispose of. |
|---|---|
| Flat bottom silo | Empties completely, which matters when feed batches change frequently. |
Poultry Feed Cone Granary Questions
How is the granary filled?
Through the roof filling point, by blower delivery, elevator or pneumatic line depending on the site.
Does feed bridge in the cone?
The cone angle is designed for gravity flow. Keeping feed dry and the outlet fully open during discharge is what prevents bridging in practice.
Can I store pellets and mash in the same granary?
Not at the same time. Use separate granaries per feed type, which is why they are usually installed in groups.
What foundation is needed?
A concrete base with anchor bolts set to the leg layout drawing.
Is the shell the same as the grain silos?
Yes, the same bolted corrugated hot dip galvanized construction, with a cone bottom instead of a flat floor.
