What LL16 Is Built For
LL16 is a bias light truck tyre designed for commercial vehicles that operate on paved roads with occasional light off-road use, such as delivery vans, light utility trucks, and service vehicles in urban and rural environments. The tyre features a tread pattern optimized for wear resistance and heat management under continuous urban driving, with a 9.0 mm tread depth and a 180 mm section width. It is available in two ply ratings, 8 and 10, for load capacities up to 900 kg single at 530 kPa. The 6.50-14LT size is suitable for standard light truck rims of 4 1/2J width.
Manufacturer Feature Claims
- Good wear and crack resistance
- Low rolling resistance
- Good heat dissipation
Key Benefits
- Good wear and crack resistance for extended service life in urban and mixed-duty applications
- Low rolling resistance reduces fuel consumption on paved routes
- Good heat dissipation prevents overheating during prolonged city driving
- Two ply ratings (8 and 10) allow matching to actual axle load without overspecifying
- Consistent 9.0 mm tread depth across both sizes ensures predictable wear and casing life
Problems It Solves
- Tyres failing prematurely due to cracking under repeated urban driving cycles
- Excessive heat buildup in high-traffic areas leading to casing damage or blowouts
- High rolling resistance increasing fuel costs on daily city routes
- Mismatched ply rating causing over-specification or under-specification for actual load
- Lack of consistent tread depth across sizes leading to uneven wear and early casing loss
Who It Is For
- Tyre distributors supplying light commercial vehicle fleets in Asia, Africa, and South America
- Fleet operators replacing tyres that fail due to cracking or excessive wear in urban environments
- Importers sourcing bias tyres for light trucks with specific load and speed requirements
- Government and municipal buyers procuring tyres for service vehicles with mixed road use
Application Scenarios
- Delivery vans operating daily in city centres with frequent stops and starts
- Light utility trucks used for municipal services, maintenance, and field support
- Service vehicles running on paved roads with occasional access to gravel or dirt service lanes
- Fleets managing mixed-duty light trucks where durability and heat resistance are critical
- Small contractors using light trucks for transport between job sites with varied road conditions
Technical Features
- Bias construction with a tread pattern designed for wear and crack resistance
- Tread depth of 9.0 mm on both ply ratings, providing a consistent wear profile
- Section width of 180 mm and overall diameter of 705 mm for stable handling on 4 1/2J rims
- Load index 99/95 (690 kg single, 775 kg dual) and 104/100 (800 kg single, 900 kg dual) for accurate load matching
- Speed symbols K and L (up to 110 km/h and 120 km/h) suitable for urban and regional driving

- Sidewall branding and private label subject to plant minimum order quantity
- Label, marking, and packaging adjusted to the destination market requirement
Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not
Compared With Radial light truck tyres
Bias construction offers lower cost and better performance on light-duty urban routes; radial tyres may have better rolling resistance but are not required for this duty
Compared With Higher ply rating bias tyres
The 8PR and 10PR options here match actual load needs; higher ply ratings increase cost and ride harshness without added benefit on light trucks
Compared With Tyres with deeper tread
9.0 mm tread depth is sufficient for urban and light off-road use; deeper tread is not needed and increases rolling resistance
Use Guide
- Match ply rating to your actual axle load: 8PR for loads up to 690 kg single, 10PR for up to 800 kg single
- Check rim width against your wheel: 4 1/2J is required for this size
- Inflate to the pressure shown in the size table: 420 kPa for 8PR, 530 kPa for 10PR
- Inspect tread and sidewall for cracks after prolonged urban use to catch early wear
- Rotate tyres before irregular wear develops, especially on vehicles with one-way load patterns
LL16 Buying Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We load by full container. A 40HQ of 6.50-14LT typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or has to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation rather than quoting a standard figure.
Which sizes are available?
6.50-14LT in 8PR (load index 99/95) and 10PR (load index 104/100). Full load index, rim, and pressure data for each is in the size table on this page.
Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us the import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.
What warranty do you give?
One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment itself.
Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?
Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.
Is this tyre suitable for off-road use?
It is designed for paved roads with occasional light off-road use. It is not built for heavy off-road or agricultural duty.
