Technical Details
Receiving inspection: upon container arrival, check all bags for damage (torn bags, water staining, visible contamination). Count bags and verify against packing list. Take a representative sample from 3-5 bags across the container for incoming quality testing (moisture, visual inspection, and optionally press/fire a test disc). Record the batch number from bag labels for traceability. Unloading: jumbo bags (1200kg) require a forklift with minimum 2-ton capacity. Lift by the top loops only — never puncture or hook the bag body.
Practical Application
Small bags (50kg) can be handled manually but consider ergonomic limits for repeated lifting. Storage: store in an enclosed warehouse with concrete floor and weatherproof roof. Keep bags on pallets raised minimum 10cm off floor. Maintain 50cm clearance from walls for air circulation. Stack jumbo bags maximum 2-3 high. Stack 50kg bags maximum 8-10 high on pallets.
