A standard 20ft container holds approximately 24 tons of mineral powder — either 20 x 1200kg jumbo bags or approximately 480 x 50kg bags on pallets. Container selection: always use standard 20ft dry containers (not 40ft) for mineral shipments. The high density of mineral powder means a 40ft container would exceed road weight limits in most countries long before reaching volume capacity. A 20ft container at 24 tons total cargo weight is within the typical road limit of 27-28 tons gross (container tare weight approximately 2.2 tons + 24 tons cargo = 26.2 tons). Port selection from China: we ship from three major ports — Tianjin (closest to our factory, 500km, best for destinations in Northeast Asia, Korea, Japan), Qingdao (600km, good service frequency to Southeast Asia, India, Middle East), and Lianyungang (550km, competitive rates to South Asia, Africa).
