Potassium Feldspar TX101 Ultra White
K-feldspar taken through an extra purification stage for whiteness-critical work
What TX101 Is
TX101 is our premium potassium feldspar. It goes through additional purification beyond the standard flotation circuit specifically to bring iron down, for applications where whiteness is not negotiable.
The mineralogy still behaves like a potassium feldspar: a more stable, more viscous glass phase during firing, which improves shape retention on complex geometries. What changes is the colour the melt contributes.
That combination — viscous melt plus low iron — is why it turns up in premium tableware and sanitary ware, where a piece has to survive firing without distortion and come out white.

What You Get From This Grade
Whiteness and shape retention in one material
You do not have to trade a viscous melt for a clean colour.
Extra purification stage
Processing goes beyond standard flotation to reduce iron-bearing minerals further.
Suited to glaze work
Low iron matters more in a glaze layer than in a body, because there is nothing above it to hide colour.
Sample and COA before commitment
Chemistry, fired whiteness results and sample material are provided before a first order.
Why Customers Switch to TX101
Glaze picks up a yellow or grey cast
Iron in the feldspar is a common source; the additional purification stage targets exactly that.
Premium pieces distort in the kiln
Potassium feldspar mineralogy gives a stiffer melt than sodium feldspar at the same temperature.
Two suppliers for whiteness and stability
One material covering both removes a purchasing and qualification step.

How TX101 Is Made and Shipped

Packaging
1200 kg FIBC jumbo bags as standard, or 50 kg PP woven bags. Bags are labelled with product name, grade, batch number and weight. Private labelling available.
Loading
A 20ft container takes about 24 tons, roughly 20 jumbo bags. Loading photos on request and a numbered security seal on every container.
Against the Alternatives
TX101 sits above SY101 on whiteness and price and matches it on melt behaviour. Against K200 nepheline, TX101 gives a stiffer melt and less total alkali — pick nepheline for fluxing power, TX101 where the melt must stay viscous.
How to Trial It
Request detailed chemical analysis, fired whiteness results and sample material before specifying. Run your own pressed-disc firing at your production curve rather than relying on a supplier figure, and keep the trial body otherwise unchanged so the flux is the only variable.
Other Grades in the Range
SY101Potassium Feldspar SY101 High K+Na
Flotation feldspar for bodies that have to hold their shape
K200Nepheline Powder K200 Ultra White
The lowest iron grade we produce, for bodies that have to fire white
GP20Nepheline Powder GP20 High Expansion
A glaze-maker's nepheline — high calcium, highest total alkali in the range

Questions About TX101
What is the typical chemistry of TX101?
Published typical values are Type Ultra white potassium feldspar, Process Advanced flotation with additional purification, Fe2O3 Ultra low — batch value on COA, Fired whiteness Premium grade. Every shipment carries a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis with the actual measured numbers.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes. We ship 1-5 kg of each grade by DHL or FedEx at our expense. Samples reach most international destinations in 5-7 days and each one includes a Certificate of Analysis.
What is the minimum order quantity?
One 20ft container, which is about 24 tons — roughly 20 FIBC jumbo bags. Samples of 1-5 kg per grade are available before that for laboratory evaluation.
What is the lead time?
Production runs 7-14 days from order confirmation. Standard grades are normally held in stock, so container loading often starts within 3-5 working days.
