Anyang County Kailong Mining Co., Ltd., trading internationally as Ceramic Minerals, has held an independent legal entity status and a government-issued mining licence since 2007. Mining, processing, sales and technical service sit in one company.
History and growth
The company began in Anyang County, Henan Province as a nepheline syenite quarry serving the domestic Chinese ceramic industry. Continuous reinvestment and technological upgrading turned it into a vertically integrated mining and processing operation selling across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America.
The founding idea was to control the whole value chain from raw ore through processing to finished powder, which removes the variability that comes with buying ore from several sources.
In the early years more than 40 million CNY went into the wet-process production line — a deliberate break from the many dry-process operators in the region, and the investment customers now verify through their own laboratory testing.
Mineral resources
The Jiulongshan deposit in Shanying Town is one of China's significant nepheline syenite resources. Independent geological surveys have verified reserves exceeding 120 million tons with consistent ore quality across the ore body.
The deposit runs high in total alkali — K2O plus Na2O consistently above 14% — with 20-21% Al2O3 and naturally low iron that wet processing reduces further. Open-pit access gives visual quality control of each mining face and a cost advantage over underground methods.
The mining lease also covers potassium feldspar and sodium feldspar mineralisation, which is how one operation supplies a complete product range.
Processing technology
Processing begins with primary and secondary crushing, then mixing with water to form a slurry that feeds the wet grinding circuit. Ball mills grind to 100 mesh or 200 mesh depending on grade.
The slurry then passes multiple stages of high-intensity wet magnetic separation. Low-intensity separators take strongly magnetic particles such as magnetite; high-intensity separators take weakly magnetic particles such as biotite and hornblende. This progressive approach is why K200 reaches Fe2O3 of 0.08%, a specification dry-process producers cannot match from the same ore.
After separation, purified slurry passes hydrocyclone classifiers for particle size control, then thickening, filtering and drying.
Quality commitment
Every production batch goes through full chemical analysis by XRF, laser particle size analysis, moisture measurement and firing whiteness evaluation on pressed discs fired at 1200 degrees C and read with a calibrated spectrophotometer.
For critical export shipments we commission independent third-party testing from Foshan Youbo Ceramic Analysis & Testing Co., Ltd.. Every shipment is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis documenting the full test results.
Location and logistics
The factory sits 5 km from Shuiye Railway Station, 25 km from Anyang Station on the Beijing-Guangzhou mainline, and 3 km from the Anyang-Linzhou Expressway.
For international shipments we ship routinely to Tianjin Port (500 km), Qingdao Port (600 km) and Lianyungang Port (550 km). Container trucks reach these ports within 6-8 hours, which keeps export turnaround short.
About the Company
What products do you supply?
Three nepheline syenite powder grades — GP20 high expansion, K200 ultra white and K100 standard — plus two potassium feldspar grades, SY101 and TX101, and sodium feldspar to specification. Everything is processed from our own quarry.
What is nepheline syenite and why use it instead of feldspar?
It is a quartz-free igneous rock used as a flux in ceramics and glass. Against feldspar it carries more alumina (20-24% against 17-19%) and more total alkali (12-16% against 10-14%), melts earlier, gives a wider firing range and contains no free silica.
How low is the iron content?
K200 runs Fe2O3 at 0.08%, K100 at 0.12% and GP20 at 0.14%. Those levels come from multi-stage wet magnetic separation; dry-process plants working the same ore cannot reach them.
What is your production capacity?
250,000 tons per year, drawn from a deposit with more than 120 million tons of verified reserves.
