The PEEK bush is a wear-resistant lining that sits between the pin and the chain, replacing the original copper mesh lining. Because PEEK is self-lubricating it is more wear resistant than the copper mesh and gives a longer service life.
PEEK resin itself is a high performance thermoplastic with high temperature resistance, wear resistance, self-lubrication, low noise, corrosion resistance and high strength, which is why it has become the standard upgrade inside stenter chains.
