WK22 High Precision Internal and External CNC Punch Grinder
CNC punch and pin grinding from 1 mm up to 150 mm, internal and external.
- Clamping working diameter (ID and OD)1 to 150 mm
- Horizontal travel of worktable150 mm

OD and ID grinding on one machine, for shafts, bushes, needle valves and plungers.

The WK1420x500 grinds cylindrical and conical workpieces up to 200 mm outside diameter and 500 mm in length, with an internal spindle covering 30 to 100 mm bores. Workhead, outside wheel, internal wheel, oil pump and coolant pump are each driven by their own motor. The machine is rated at 1.5 micron roundness on outside diameters and 2.5 micron on bores, and is also available in a CNC configuration.
Who it is for: Hydraulic and pneumatic component makers, fuel system and valve manufacturers, bearing and bush producers, and tool rooms grinding punch pins and small precision shafts.

Rated roundness of 1.5 micron OD and 2.5 micron ID, with longitudinal uniformity of 5 micron OD and 8 micron ID over the full 500 mm.
Rated Ra 0.25 micron on outside diameters and Ra 0.63 micron on bores, fine enough for running and sealing surfaces.
A 14000 rpm internal spindle alongside the OD wheel head means concentricity between bore and outside is set by the machine, not by two setups.
Shallow tapers, morse fits and conical seats are ground on the machine rather than requiring a dedicated taper attachment.

Grinding the two features on separate machines stacks two setup errors. One clamping on a universal machine removes that.
After heat treatment the lathe is no longer an option. Grinding takes the stock off without softening or distorting the part.
A table that swivels from minus 5 to plus 9 degrees grinds the taper directly instead of approximating it.
Cast iron bed and table on hardened ground ways, with independently driven workhead and wheel spindles. Wheels, dressers and steadies specified for the workpiece.

The WK1420x500 is the universal machine in the range. Choose a centerless machine instead when volume and repetition matter more than flexibility.
| Model | Key Specification | Best Suited To |
|---|---|---|
| WK1420x500 | 200 mm OD, 500 mm length, OD and ID in one clamping | Mixed batches, tapers, bore and OD concentricity |
| WK22 | 1 to 150 mm clamping, CNC, 20000 rpm internal spindle | Punch pins and small precision components |
| FX-18S | 0.5 to 60 mm through feed, no clamping cycle | High volume repeat diameters |
200 mm outside diameter, 500 mm grinding length and 50 kg between centres at 135 mm centre height.
30 to 100 mm diameter, up to 500 mm deep, with the spindle running at 14000 rpm.
Yes. The CNC configuration is quoted with your choice of FANUC, SIEMENS, SYNTEC or GSK control.
The machine is rated at 1.5 micron OD and 2.5 micron ID. Real results depend on workholding, wheel condition, coolant and part rigidity, which is why we ask for the drawing before quoting.
A wheel balancing stand, a centre rest and a closed type radius dresser are the standard additions. We list them on the quote.
Yes. The table swivels from minus 5 to plus 9 degrees, and the tailstock takes a number 4 morse taper.
