View DetailsWho Specifies IC Tubes
- Component manufacturers shipping finished devices in fixed orientation
- IC distributors re-packing bulk devices for overseas customers
- EMS and SMT plants requiring matching spare tubes for rework and kitting
- Relay and connector makers handling bodies that cannot be held by standard tape pockets
- Buyers replacing a tube supplier with inconsistent tolerance or delayed delivery

What IC Tubes Is There to Prevent
- Device packages do not fit standard tube profiles, causing jamming in feeders and rejected batches
- Electrostatic discharge damages sensitive components during handling and transit
- Tubes with inconsistent internal profiles cause misalignment and feeding errors across production runs
- Stock tube lengths and wall thicknesses do not match the needs of custom or high-volume device packages
- Physical damage occurs when tubes crack on drop or during handling, spilling components inside shipping cartons
- Lack of end plugs or mismatched plugs leads to premature opening and contamination of contents
How the IC Tubes Line Is Built

- Profiles designed to precise device parameters, reducing jamming and feeding errors
- Available in custom lengths, including 20 inches as standard, with other lengths possible
- Over a thousand open tools already cut for common packages including DIP PLCC LCC SOIC SOJ SOP SSOP TSSOP QFN MLF LPCC TO Series and sockets
- Critical dimension control within 5 mils on PVC tubes, plus minus 2 mils on polycarbonate
- Five resins available: PVC PS PC PETG ABS, selected based on clarity, cost and mechanical performance
- Rubber end plugs, plastic pins and nails supplied with tubes, matched to profile and usage frequency
- Stock profiles ship in 5-15 days; samples available in 3-5 days; new custom designs quoted quickly
Where IC Tubes Ends Up
Shipping TO series relays from a component plant to an overseas EMS with consistent orientation and ESD protection
Loading DIP and SOIC devices into automatic insertion machines with no feeder jams
Holding long-lead semiconductors in buffer stock with tubes that match the device profile exactly
Re-packing bulk devices into fixed count tubes for traceability and kitting at an EMS
Replacing a jamming tube profile on a running SMT line without changing the device or tooling

Semiconductor And IC Distribution
IC distributors and semiconductor plants handle devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge, mechanical shock, and orientation changes during transit.
See Application
Connectors Relays And Switches
Connectors, relays, terminal blocks, switches and power modules are too large or heavy for standard tape and reel packaging.
See Application
Power Modules And Passive Components
Power modules, resistors, capacitors, inductors, magnetic components, fuses, filters, transformers, speakers, sockets, FPC, RJ and USB parts require packaging that protects against electrostatic discharge, mechanical shock, and environmental exposure during transit and storage.

Why IC Shipping Tube MOQ Is High
The minimum order quantity for custom anti-static IC shipping tubes is high because each production run requires machine re-molding, setup adjustment and dimensional verification.
Read GuideIC Tubes Questions
Can you make a tube for a device package you have not run before?
Yes. Send a tube drawing, device drawing, or a physical sample. If no drawing is available, we measure the profile from the component. New profiles require one-time tooling and typically take 4-6 weeks.
What is the minimum order quantity?
10000 pieces on standard profiles. The minimum is driven by extrusion setup cost and run length required to justify tooling.
Which material holds the tightest tolerance?
Polycarbonate, at plus minus 2 mils. PVC holds within 5 mils and is the standard choice for cost-sensitive applications.
Do you supply end plugs and pins?
Yes. Rubber end plugs, plastic pins, nails, and caps are available and matched to the tube profile and frequency of opening.
Are the tubes RoHS compliant?
Yes. All products are RoHS compliant and meet the Sony environmental protection requirement. The quality management system is ISO14001.
How fast can a repeat order ship?
5-15 days depending on quantity, based on an already tooled profile. Weekly capacity is 50000 pcs and monthly output is 150 tons.
