Reducing Crusher Downtime With Ready Made Patterns And Stocked Parts
Lead time on a wear part is mostly pattern time and scheduling. Both can be removed, and the difference is measured in days rather than weeks.
Where The Weeks Actually Go
On a first-time casting, pattern making is the longest single stage. It happens before any metal is melted, and on a complex liner it can dominate the whole lead time.
Remove it and what is left is melting, heat treatment, machining and transport — stages that are scheduled rather than created.

Ready Made Patterns
We hold thousands of ready-made patterns. For a part we have cast before, moulding starts immediately: no pattern cost and no pattern lead time.
This is why the model lists on our category pages are worth reading before you enquire. If your machine is on one of those lists, the answer to 'how quickly' is a different answer entirely.
Finished Stock
For VSI parts we go further and hold finished parts in stock. A European customer confirmed an order on 18 July and their agent collected from our warehouse on 21 July.
Three days from order to collection is not a casting lead time. It is a stock transaction, and for the machine that gates a crushing circuit it is worth designing the purchasing around.

Transport Is Part Of The Lead Time
Chongqing offers three genuinely different routes. Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) for urgent parts. The Chongqing–Xinjiang–Europe railway through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland to Duisburg. And inland transport to Shanghai Port, which takes about three days, for sea freight.
Door-to-door service is available, so delivery can be to your warehouse rather than to a port.
What Buyers Can Do
- Send the machine model and part number with the first enquiry so the pattern inventory can be checked.
- Order the complete wear package rather than individual items — one shutdown instead of three.
- Record the tonnage between change-outs, which makes the next order predictable rather than urgent.
- For the machine that gates your circuit, ask what is held as finished stock rather than what the casting lead time is.

How do I find out if you hold my pattern?
Send the part number or machine model with the enquiry. The model lists on each category page cover much of the inventory.
Which parts do you hold as finished stock?
VSI parts in particular are held finished in stock to minimise downtime.
Is rail freight to Europe practical?
Yes. Chongqing is the start of the Chongqing–Xinjiang–Europe railway, running to Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Duisburg in Germany.
Apply This To Your Own Machines
Send the machine, the feed description and the wear life you get now, and we will make a specific recommendation rather than a general one.
