- LTR Tire
LMC5 is a light truck radial tyre designed for freight vehicles that operate on mixed-duty routes, including urban delivery, rural feeder roads, and highway hauls. The tread pattern is engineered for extended tread life under consistent load and moderate speed, with a focus on wear resistance rather than high-speed handling or off-road capability.

What LMC5 Is Built For
LMC5 is a light truck radial tyre designed for freight vehicles that operate on mixed-duty routes, including urban delivery, rural feeder roads, and highway hauls. The tread pattern is engineered for extended tread life under consistent load and moderate speed, with a focus on wear resistance rather than high-speed handling or off-road capability. It is suitable for light commercial vehicles such as delivery vans, small cargo trucks, and utility vehicles used in distribution and logistics. Two sizes are available: 185R14C and 195R14LT, both with 8PR ply rating, covering standard rim width 5 1/2J. The tread depth is 10.2 mm across both sizes, providing a durable footprint for high-mileage operation.
Manufacturer Feature Claims
- Freight vehicles
- High mileage
Key Benefits
- High wear resistance extends tread life on consistent urban and highway routes
- 10.2 mm tread depth provides a long service life for high-mileage applications
- 8PR ply rating supports moderate axle loads for light commercial freight use
- Two sizes cover common 14-inch rim fitments used in light delivery and utility vehicles
- Standard rim 5 1/2J ensures compatibility with most light truck wheel assemblies
Problems It Solves
- Frequent tyre replacement due to early tread wear on light trucks used for high-mileage urban routes
- Mismatch between tyre durability and vehicle duty when using passenger car tyres in light truck applications
- Inconsistent performance across different vehicle types in a mixed fleet without a common pattern
- Lack of availability of 8PR-rated tyres with high wear resistance in smaller light truck sizes
- Need for a single tyre pattern that supports both city and highway use without sacrificing tread life
Who It Is For
- Tyre distributors supplying light commercial vehicle fleets in Asia, Africa, and South America
- Fleet operators managing small delivery vans and cargo trucks with high annual mileage
- Importers sourcing tyres for light truck applications in markets with limited tyre availability
- Wholesale distributors looking for a single pattern with consistent wear performance
- Government and municipal fleets requiring durable tyres for light-duty utility vehicles
Application Scenarios
- Urban delivery vans making repeated short trips with moderate axle loads
- Small cargo trucks used for regional distribution on paved and gravel feeder roads
- Utility vehicles operating in mixed-duty environments with frequent stops and starts
- Fleets replacing worn tyres on light trucks where high mileage is the primary requirement
- Logistics operators needing consistent tyre performance across multiple vehicle types
Technical Features
- Radial construction with 8PR ply rating for durability under consistent load
- Tread depth of 10.2 mm on both sizes, supporting extended tread life
- Designed for light truck and freight vehicle use, not for passenger car or off-road duty
- Tread pattern optimized for wear resistance rather than rolling resistance or traction
- Standard rim 5 1/2J ensures compatibility with common light truck wheel assemblies

Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not
Compared With Passenger car tyres with similar size and load index
LMC5 has 8PR ply rating and higher wear resistance, making it suitable for freight use where passenger car tyres would fail early
Compared With Light truck tyres with lower ply rating or lower tread depth
LMC5’s 8PR and 10.2 mm tread depth provide longer service life on high-mileage routes
Compared With Off-road or deep-lug light truck tyres
LMC5 is not designed for rough terrain; it prioritizes wear resistance over traction and impact resistance
Use Guide
- Match ply rating and load index to the actual axle load, not to the maximum available
- Check the standard rim 5 1/2J against your wheel assembly before ordering
- Inflate to the pressure shown in the size table for the load listed: 450 kPa for both sizes
- Monitor tread wear regularly; the 10.2 mm depth supports high mileage but not extended use beyond wear indicators
- Rotate tyres before irregular wear sets in, especially on vehicles with one-way load patterns
LMC5 Buying Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We load by full container. A 40HQ of 185R14C or 195R14LT typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or has to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation rather than quoting a standard figure.
Which sizes are available?
185R14C and 195R14LT, both with 8PR ply rating. Load index and speed symbol data for each is in the size table.
Is this tyre legal for use in my country?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us your import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.
What warranty do you give?
One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment itself.
Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us the import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.
Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?
Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.
