Overview

What F820-Light Truck Is Built For

F820-Light Truck is a radial truck tyre designed for medium trucks operating on high-grade roads across regional and urban delivery networks. It is built for all axle positions, meaning it can be used on steer, drive, and trailer axles without retooling. The pattern balances tread life, rolling resistance and traction across paved surfaces, with a focus on consistent performance under mixed-duty conditions. It is supplied in 14 sizes, from 8.5R17.5 to 245/70R19.5, with ply ratings from 12 to 18 and load indices up to 143/141. The tread depth ranges from 204 mm to 248 mm, with section widths from 753 mm to 839 mm and overall diameters from 625 mm to 875 mm.

Manufacturer Feature Claims

  • Suitable for Medium Trucks Running on The High-grade Road
Benefits

Key Benefits

  • All-position design allows one pattern to be used on steer, drive and trailer axles across medium trucks
  • Tread depth between 204 mm and 248 mm supports extended casing life on high-grade road duty
  • Load index up to 143/141 and ply rating up to 18PR support heavy regional delivery and distribution loads
  • Multiple rim fitments (M, L/M, J/L, L, J) allow compatibility with standard regional truck wheel assemblies
  • Standard pressure and load data provided for dual and single fitment across all sizes
The problem

Problems It Solves

  • Using separate steer, drive and trailer patterns increases stock complexity and fitting labour
  • Tyres designed for off-road or mixed-surface duty wear out quickly on high-grade paved roads
  • Mismatched tread depth and load capacity across axle positions leads to uneven wear and early casing failure
  • Lack of standard rim compatibility forces multiple pattern variants for the same vehicle platform
  • Inconsistent load and pressure data across sizes leads to over-inflation or under-inflation in fleet operations

Honest comparison

Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not

Compared With Dedicated steer or drive tyres

F820-Light Truck eliminates the need for separate patterns on different axles, reducing stock and simplifying rotation

Compared With Off-road or deep-lug patterns

A deep-lug pattern wears faster and runs noisier on high-grade roads; this pattern is optimized for paved surface performance

Compared With Tyres with limited rim fitment

This pattern supports multiple rim types (M, L/M, J/L, L, J), reducing the need for multiple variants per vehicle model

Fitting and use

Use Guide

  • Match ply rating and load index to your actual axle load, not to the highest available rating
  • Check the rim fitment listed against your wheel: M for 8.5R17.5 and 205/75R17.5, L/M for 215/75R17.5 and 235/75R17.5, J/L for 235/75R17.5, J for 235/75R17.5, M for 225/70R19.5 and 245/70R19.5
  • Inflate to the pressure shown in the size table for your load and fitment type
  • Rotate tyres between axle positions before irregular wear sets in, especially on fleets with one-way loads
  • Inspect tread depth regularly to assess casing life and plan for retreading or replacement
Questions

F820-Light Truck Buying Questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

We load by full container. A 40HQ of 8.5R17.5 or 245/70R19.5 typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.

What is the lead time?

It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or has to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation rather than quoting a standard figure.

Which sizes are available?

14 sizes: 8.5R17.5, 205/75R17.5, 215/75R17.5, 235/75R17.5, 225/70R19.5, 245/70R19.5. Full load index, rim and pressure data for each is in the size table on this page.

Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?

Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us the import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.

What warranty do you give?

One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment itself.

Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?

Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.

Is this tyre suitable for off-road use?

It is designed for high-grade paved roads. Off-road use will reduce tread life and increase wear due to lack of deep-lug traction and stone protection.
