Payment Terms for International Mineral Purchases

Understanding T/T, L/C, and other payment methods for buying nepheline and feldspar from China.

We offer flexible payment terms to accommodate different buyer situations.

Details & Process

T/T (Telegraphic Transfer / Wire Transfer) — our standard payment method. Terms: 30% deposit upon Pro-Forma Invoice confirmation, 70% balance against B/L copy. Advantages: simple, fast, low bank charges (typically USD 20-40 per transfer). Best for: established relationships and buyers who value speed and simplicity. First-order special: for your very first container, we may request 50% deposit and 50% against B/L, reverting to 30/70 for subsequent orders once trust is established. L/C (Letter of Credit) — for orders above USD 50,000 or buyers requiring bank-guaranteed transactions. We accept irrevocable L/C at sight from reputable international banks.

Documents required: as specified in the L/C (typically B/L, invoice, packing list, COA, CO, insurance certificate). Bank charges: typically shared — each party pays their own bank fees. Processing time: L/C establishment takes 5-10 business days; document negotiation takes 5-7 days after shipping. Best for: large orders, risk-averse buyers, and corporate procurement requiring documented payment guarantees. D/P (Documents against Payment) — available for repeat customers with established credit history. We ship the goods and send documents through our bank to your bank. You pay when the documents arrive at your bank.

Next Steps

This gives you the security of receiving goods before final payment, while we retain document control until payment is confirmed. Other arrangements: for long-term supply agreement customers with strong credit history, we may offer 30-60 day open account terms (payment due 30-60 days after B/L date). This is reserved for established partnerships with demonstrated payment reliability..
