Zirconia Ceramic Structural Parts to Drawing
Load bearing ceramic components where steel wears and plastic deflects
Structural zirconia is used where a part has to carry load, resist abrasion and stay dimensionally stable, and where neither hardened steel nor engineering plastic will survive the duty. At 6.0 g/cm3 with 800 MPa flexural strength and Mohs hardness 8.2, zirconia takes impact far better than other technical ceramics, which is what makes it usable for brackets, guides, seats and drive components rather than only for insulators.
Key Benefits
- 800 MPa flexural strength lets zirconia be used in parts that actually carry load
- Impact resistance well above alumina, so the part tolerates handling and assembly
- Smooth ground surfaces keep friction and mating wear low on guide rails and seats
- Non-magnetic and corrosion resistant for instrument, medical and food equipment
- Low thermal conductivity isolates heat between assembly stages
Problems It Solves
- Hardened steel guides and seats that wear out of tolerance inside a service interval
- Plastic components that creep or swell and lose alignment
- Magnetic or conductive parts interfering with sensors nearby
Who It Is For
- Equipment designers converting a worn steel assembly to ceramic
- OEMs needing non-magnetic structural parts near sensors
- Buyers who already have drawings and need a manufacturer, not a catalogue
Application Scenarios
Guide rails, seats and locating blocks on precision machinery
Optical fibre sleeves and ferrules
Grinding media and mill internals
Medical, food and petroleum equipment components

Quality Control
- Critical dimensions inspected against your drawing
- Inspection report supplied with the shipment on request
- Packing photographed before dispatch and replacement shipped free if transit damage is not caused by handling
Certifications
No third party certification documents are published for this product. Every shipment is inspected to your drawing with an inspection report issued. Certification status is TBC and confirmed on request.
Customization Options
- Machined from your 2D or 3D drawing, including cross holes, slots and pockets
- White or black zirconia
- Ground and polished surfaces where a mating face requires it
Comparison With Other Ceramics
Choose zirconia over alumina when the part is slender, takes impact, or is press fitted. Choose alumina when the duty is thermal or dielectric and the section is generous. Choose silicon carbide when abrasion at high temperature dominates.
Use Guide
- Mark which faces are functional so grinding effort goes where it matters
- Avoid sharp internal corners; give a radius wherever the design allows
- State the fit type for any bore that receives a shaft or a pin

Zirconia Ceramic Structural Parts FAQ
Do you work from our drawings?
Yes. Our main business is OEM and ODM. Send the drawing and we quote from it.
What tolerances can you hold?
Tolerance depends on the feature and the part size. Send the drawing with the tolerances marked and we confirm what is achievable before quoting.
Is zirconia suitable for load bearing parts?
Yes. The flexural strength of 800 MPa and the impact resistance of zirconia are what separate it from alumina in structural duty.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on the part. Several items in our range start at 1 to 10 pieces, so tell us the part and the quantity you need.
How is quality guaranteed?
Parts are inspected to your drawing and an inspection report is issued. Feedback on quality or service is handled directly.
What are the payment terms?
Orders up to 1000 USD are 100% in advance. From 1000 USD, 50% T/T in advance with the balance before shipment.
