How It Works Step By Step
Send The Drawing Or The Bar
The original statement is that special long bars can be customised by having drawings or samples provided by the customer. A dimensioned drawing is preferred; a sample bar works where no drawing survives.
Confirm Machine, Gauge And Width
Machine brand and type, gauge in needles per inch, working width and which bar is required: needle, guide, knock-over or core needle.
Agree The Specification In Writing
The bar type, gauge, width and quantity are restated on the quotation. Approve it before production starts.

A bar change is machine downtime. Agree the delivery date against your planned stop rather than ordering and hoping.

Before commissioning a special, check the standard range. Bars are in mass production for machine types HKS, KS, RSE, MRSS, MSUS, RSMSUS, HDR5 and RD4 from Karl Mayer Germany and for high speed knitting machines from LIBA Germany.
The bar types produced are needle bars, guide bars, knock-over bars and core needle bars, supplied to customers at home and abroad.
What A Drawing Needs To Show
Overall length, slot pitch, slot form and depth, the mounting hole pattern, and the datum the slots are measured from. Where the bar carries elements, state whether the bar is required bare or with elements fitted.
Where no drawing exists, the old bar is the drawing. Say so on the enquiry and we will advise before anything is shipped.
