One Tensioner Per End

Each end in the creel has its own tensioner, and the job of all of them together is to deliver every end at the same tension. When one runs light, that end knits a longer loop for as long as the beam lasts.

The original description for the tensioner range states it is used on warp knitting machines such as Karl Mayer and KFD knitting machines, and a second listing covers needle looms, ribbon looms, jacquard looms, high speed narrow fabric machines, crochet machines and warping machines.

Stop Motions Earn Their Keep In Seconds

Three devices are listed: the broken yarn stopping device, the self stopping device and the fluff detector. The first two stop the machine on a broken end. The third stops it when fibre accumulates on the running yarn, before that fluff is wound into the beam.

A stop motion that no longer trips is worse than none at all, because the operator trusts it. Test them rather than assuming.

Creels, Holders And Rollers

Creels are listed as electromotion and normal types. Package holders come as turn table, swivelling, plastic double-arm and straight staff forms. Rollers are listed as levelling and servo-controlled, and roller covering is a separate category.

A holder that no longer lets the package run free adds drag that no tensioner setting can correct, so check the holders before adjusting tension.

Tension Plates On The Machine Side

Downstream of the creel, tension plates and their springs hold the warp sheet. They are listed here by pin count — 12, 16, 20 and 26 pins — with some sets supplied with new rings, together with C type and U type tension rails.
