What CROSSWIND R781 Is Built For
CROSSWIND R781 is a budget trailer tyre designed for light commercial trailers used in regional haulage, utility transport, and recreational towing. It is built for consistent performance on paved roads with low rolling resistance to reduce fuel consumption. The tyre is available in nine sizes from ST175/80R13 to ST235/85R16, with ply ratings of 6PR, 8PR, and 10PR, and load indices from 91/87 to 125/121. All sizes carry the M speed symbol and are rated for standard trailer use with no off-road or heavy-duty duty claims. The tread depth is 6.3 mm across all sizes, and the overall diameter ranges from 610 mm to 806 mm. It is suitable for trailers with rim widths of 5J to 6 1/2J.

- Label, marking, and packaging adjusted to destination market requirements
Where This Pattern Wins and Where It Does Not
Compared With Higher-end trailer tyres with reinforced sidewalls
R781 offers lower cost and lower rolling resistance but lacks extra sidewall strength for rough terrain or heavy impact
Compared With Tyres designed for off-road or agricultural use
R781 is not built for mud, gravel, or uneven surfaces; it performs best on paved roads with consistent load
Compared With Tyres with higher speed symbols (e.g. N, H)
R781 is rated M (130 km/h), which is sufficient for most trailer use but not for high-speed long-haul applications
Use Guide
- Match the ply rating to the actual axle load, not the maximum available size
- Check the standard rim listed against your trailer wheel: 5J for ST175/80R13, 5 1/2J for ST205/75R14 and ST205/75R15, 6J for ST215/75R14 and ST225/75R15, 6 1/2J for ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16
- Inflate to the pressure shown in the size table for your load; dual and single fitment pressures differ
- Rotate trailer tyres if irregular wear develops, especially on trailers with uneven load distribution
- Inspect for tread wear and casing damage after long hauls; tread depth of 6.3 mm is standard across all sizes
CROSSWIND R781 Buying Questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We load by full container. A 40HQ of R781 typically fills at container weight rather than volume, so the practical minimum is one container. Mixed loads across sizes and patterns are accepted.
What is the lead time?
It depends on whether the size is in stock at the plant or has to be produced. We confirm current availability with the plant at the time of quotation.
Which sizes are available?
ST175/80R13, ST205/75R14, ST205/75R15, ST215/75R14, ST225/75R15, ST235/80R16, ST235/85R16. Ply ratings and load indices vary by size. Full data is in the size table.
Is this tyre suitable for off-road use?
No. It is designed for paved road use only. It does not have features for mud, gravel, or impact resistance beyond standard trailer duty.
Can you supply DOT or ECE marked tyres?
Marking requirements vary by destination. Tell us the import market and we confirm what marking the plant can supply on that size before you place the order.
What warranty do you give?
One year against manufacturing defect on all tyres we supply, with claims handled by us directly. Cargo transportation insurance is provided on the shipment itself.
Can you ship a mixed container with other patterns?
Yes. Most of our customers load one container across several patterns and sizes, which is the main reason to buy through us rather than from a single plant.
