Materials
Material Options
Galvanized iron is the economy screen, electric galvanized after weaving and supplied white or light blue. Enamelled iron adds colour and a little more protection. Aluminium and Al-Mg alloy resist corrosion without a coating. Fibreglass and plastic will not corrode at all and come in a range of colours. Stainless steel in 304, 316 or 316L is the specification for coastal and industrial buildings. PVC screen is listed as fitting in with petroleum, pipeline and packaging use.
Quality Control
Mesh count and wire gauge are checked against the ordered row of the table. On coloured screen, confirm the colour reference in writing - the catalogue lists colour families rather than specific colour codes.
