Injection Moulds For Sanitary Ware
Shower heads, hand showers, cisterns, toilet seats and cover plates moulded in ABS and PP
What Makes Sanitary Ware Parts Difficult
Chrome plated shower parts show every flow line and sink mark, so the gate position has to be settled before the cavity is cut
Toilet seats and cover plates are large flat parts that warp if the cooling layout is copied from a smaller tool
Undercut spray faces and snap features need slides, and every extra slide adds cycle time and a place for flash to start
What Buyers In This Sector Need
- A mould maker who has already run ABS and PP sanitary parts rather than one learning the material on your tool
- Cavity steel hard enough for a plating grade finish to be polished in and to stay in after several hundred thousand shots
- Honest cycle time figures, because on a bathroom part the cycle is most of the piece price

How A Project Runs
Design review
Part geometry, wall sections, draft and gate position are reviewed against the moulding material before any steel is cut.
Steel inspection
Cavity and core blocks are checked on arrival so that the hardness and grade match what the mould was quoted with.
In-process measurement
Machined inserts, slides and plates are measured between operations rather than only at the end of the tool room route.
Fitting and spotting
Parting line, slide movement and ejection are fitted by hand before the mould goes to the press.

Sanitary Ware Questions
What buyers in this sector ask before placing tooling work.
Can you hold a plating grade finish on ABS shower parts?
Cavity steel is chosen for it. On the archived shower head mould the cavity is DAIDO NAK80, which polishes well and holds the finish through the life of the tool. Tell us the plating supplier and the finish they need and we will quote the polish stage against that, not against a general polish grade.
How many slides does a typical shower head mould need?
The archived two cavity shower head mould runs six slides. Spray faces, side holes and the hose thread each pull in a different direction, so the count climbs quickly. Send the part model and we will mark the pulls before quoting.
Do you supply the moulded sanitary parts as well as the mould?
Yes. The same plant runs injection machines below 600 tons, so a tool built here can be trialled and then run for production without shipping it anywhere.
Tooling For Sanitary Ware
Send the part, the moulding grade and the volume. We will name the cavity steel and the impression count in the quotation rather than after the order.
