2-Propanol
2-Propanol, isopropyl alcohol, is made from propylene and is used as an industrial and coating solvent, as a component in cleaning, car care and de-icing products, as a wetting agent for printing inks and as feedstock for esters and Mogas and lube oil additives. Our superior grade runs 99.9% minimum isopropyl alcohol; the reported lot measured 99.96%.

Against the Alternatives
2-Propanol is the secondary isomer of 1-propanol at the same 60.10 molecular weight. For nucleic acid precipitation it needs 50% less volume than ethanol. Within our range it is the cleaning and antibacterial alcohol, while 1-propanol is the ink solvent and ester feedstock.
