Purity is 99.5% minimum with free acid content at 0.5% maximum and a crystallisation point of 130.0 °C minimum. Melting chromaticity is 100 maximum and thermal stability chromaticity 150 maximum.
What else is phthalic anhydride used for besides plasticizers?
In China roughly 60% of phthalic anhydride consumption goes to phthalate plasticizers, about 25% to dyes and paints and about 15% to unsaturated resins and other products. It is also used in alkyd resins and in certain pharmaceutical and pesticide routes.
Which plasticizers does your 2-ethylhexyl alcohol feed?
It is used mainly to produce phthalate esters and aliphatic diester plasticizers such as dioctyl phthalate, dioctyl azelate and dioctyl sebacate, used as main plasticizer and as cold-resistant auxiliary plasticizer.
