Dakings Completes the Jinshan Peroxide Plant Expansion
Installation of the factory and equipment at the Jinshan base for CHP and DCP production completed on 17 October, with capacity set to double once the expanded plant is in operation.
What Completed
On 17 October Dakings (Shandong) Chemical marked the completion of factory and equipment installation at Jinshan Base, one of its production bases for cumene peroxide (CHP) and cumene peroxide (DCP) chemicals.
The base took nearly two years of investment and construction to reach this point and has achieved initial results. After being put into operation its production capacity will double. Production was expected in 2024, serving domestic and international markets with better prices and quality.
Why It Matters to a Peroxide Buyer
A peroxide bought from a trader carries a datasheet written by someone else. A peroxide bought from the company that runs the reactor carries numbers measured in that company's own quality control system — active oxygen content, self-accelerating decomposition temperature and the half-life temperature at ten hours.
For cumyl hydroperoxide those numbers are an SADT of 65 °C with a 60 °C alarm temperature at the 80% grade, and 70 °C with a 65 °C alarm at the 88% grade. For dicumyl peroxide the SADT is 75 °C with an alarm temperature of 70 °C. Those figures decide how your warehouse is laid out.
