Product Overview
The HSFE-10 is the 10L version of the multi-function supercritical fluid extraction system. It works in an intermittent or a continuous way to extract solvent from solid or liquid material, and an additive can be added to the supercritical fluid.
Like the 5L unit it has one extractor and two separators. The highest working pressure of the solid extractor is 50MPa and the highest working temperature is 85°C, so the same process window is available with twice the kettle volume.
The design of the pressure vessels follows the related national standard and rule demand and includes an overpressure protection system, which means sufficient safety valves. Pressure, temperature and flow readings are shown on pressure gauges and digital instruments, and the pipe parts, valves and pipelines are all stainless steel.
Technical Features
- Multi-function SPE equipment, intermittent or continuous working mode
- One extractor and two separators
- Additive can be added to the supercritical fluid
- Pressure vessel design to the related national standard with overpressure protection
- Pressure, temperature and flow shown on gauges and digital instruments
- All stainless steel pipe parts, valves and pipelines
Materials And Construction
Wetted parts on the supercritical CO2 systems are stainless steel throughout: pipe parts, valves and pipelines. Laboratory vessels are borosilicate glass 3.3, also known as GG-17. Pressure vessels are designed to the related national standard and rule demand and carry an overpressure protection system with sufficient safety valves.
Manufacturing And Quality Control
- Every procedure and detail is inspected during production, which is why a supercritical CO2 machine takes about 60 workdays to build.
- Pressure vessels are designed to the related national standard and rule demand, with an overpressure protection system and sufficient safety valves.
- Machines are assembled and tested before packing, so what leaves the workshop is a machine that has already been run.
- Pressure, temperature and flow are shown on pressure gauges and digital instruments so the operator can verify the process at any point.
Customization Options
Machines are supplied from 0.5L to 200L, and a larger capacity machine can be customised according to your request. On the distillation plants the volume of the pot is built according to the demand of the customer. Better Industry also provides customised turn-key solutions covering specific extraction process parameters, engineering design, equipment manufacturing and installation.
Key Benefits
Twice the kettle volume
10L of extraction volume in the same process window as the 5L machine.
No solvent to purge
The neem oil leaves the separator without residual solvent.
Two-stage separation
Two separators allow fractions to be taken off independently.
Recycled CO2
CO2 is used in circulation rather than consumed each batch.
Use Guide
- 1Mill and load the neem kernel or botanical into the 10L extraction kettle.
- 2Set pressure and temperature for the material inside the 50MPa and 85°C limits.
- 3Run CO2 through the bed at a flow within 0~50L/h for the extraction time defined by your trial.
- 4Release pressure across the two separators to drop the extract and return the CO2 to gas.
- 5Collect the oil, then recirculate CO2 for the next batch.
