Because the CO2 leaves the extract as a gas in the separator. There is no residual solvent in the finished product and no purge step to validate.
Which spice materials have been processed?
Materials named for the CO2 machines include Pepper haematochrome, Gingerol, Hops extract, Agarwood oil, tobacco essential oil and cinnamon oil.
Are the wetted parts food-appropriate?
The pipe parts, valves and pipelines on the supercritical CO2 machines are all stainless steel.
