Product Overview

The lab jacketed chemical stirred glass reactor is designed as double-level glass. The reaction material is put into the inner vessel, where it can be stirred. In the interbed, different cold and hot media are circulated, which may be refrigerating fluid, hot water or hot oil, to carry out the heating and cooling of the reaction.

Under constant temperature, at ordinary pressure as well as negative pressure, the stirring reaction can be carried out in the sealed glass reactor, and back-flow and distillation can also be run in the same unit.

The working range is -60°C to 200°C and the glass is borosilicate 3.3, also known as GG-17, which is the standard specification for laboratory reactor glassware.

Technical Features

  • Double-level jacketed glass construction
  • 50L inner vessel volume
  • AC motor stirring
  • Water or oil recycling through the jacket
  • Working temperature -60 to 200°C
  • Borosilicate glass 3.3 (GG-17)

Materials And Construction

Wetted parts on the supercritical CO2 systems are stainless steel throughout: pipe parts, valves and pipelines. Laboratory vessels are borosilicate glass 3.3, also known as GG-17. Pressure vessels are designed to the related national standard and rule demand and carry an overpressure protection system with sufficient safety valves.

Manufacturing And Quality Control

  • Every procedure and detail is inspected during production, which is why a supercritical CO2 machine takes about 60 workdays to build.
  • Pressure vessels are designed to the related national standard and rule demand, with an overpressure protection system and sufficient safety valves.
  • Machines are assembled and tested before packing, so what leaves the workshop is a machine that has already been run.
  • Pressure, temperature and flow are shown on pressure gauges and digital instruments so the operator can verify the process at any point.

Customization Options

Machines are supplied from 0.5L to 200L, and a larger capacity machine can be customised according to your request. On the distillation plants the volume of the pot is built according to the demand of the customer. Better Industry also provides customised turn-key solutions covering specific extraction process parameters, engineering design, equipment manufacturing and installation.

Key Benefits

One vessel, three jobs

Stirred reaction, reflux and distillation are all run in the same reactor.

-60°C to 200°C

The jacket takes refrigerating fluid, hot water or hot oil for the full range.

Sealed for vacuum work

Reactions can be run at ordinary pressure or under negative pressure.

Borosilicate 3.3 glass

GG-17 glass for chemical and thermal resistance, and full visibility of the batch.

Use Guide

  1. 1Charge the reaction material into the inner vessel and seal the reactor.
  2. 2Set the circulating medium in the jacket: refrigerating fluid for cooling, hot water or hot oil for heating.
  3. 3Start the AC stirrer motor and bring the batch to the set temperature.
  4. 4Run the reaction at constant temperature, under ordinary or negative pressure as required.
  5. 5Switch to reflux or distillation in the same vessel, then discharge and clean.

FAQ

Questions About The HGR-50

What is the model number and main specification?
HGR-50. Volume: 50L; Motor: AC Motor; Heating type: Water or oil recycling
Can this machine be built in a different size?
Yes. Machines are supplied from 0.5L to 200L and a larger capacity machine can be customised according to your request.
How is the machine packed and installed?
In a plywood case. The machine is assembled and tested before packing, and installation service is provided.
Can you run a test with our raw material first?
Yes. An extraction test can be run with your raw material and videos and pictures of the test are sent to you for reference.
Which laboratory equipment do you build?
Rotary evaporators, jacketed glass reactors and short path distillers, produced in a factory dedicated to laboratory equipment.
Can laboratory results be scaled up to production equipment?
Yes. Trials run on laboratory equipment are used to define the process parameters for the production system.
What glass is used?
Borosilicate glass 3.3, also known as GG-17.
