Product Overview

The BETTER HEC20 essential oil distilling equipment is used in the production of Chinese medicines, health products, biological drugs, cosmetics and food. It uses technology and chemical separation to extract plant components efficiently by steam distillation, and has a good effect on collecting essential oil from plants.

The HEC20 sits between the 10L and 30L plants and is the size most often chosen for grassy material such as citronella and lemongrass, where the charge is bulky but the oil content is high.

The plant is supplied on an OEM and ODM basis, and the volume of the distillation pot is built according to the demand of the customer.

Materials And Construction

Wetted parts on the supercritical CO2 systems are stainless steel throughout: pipe parts, valves and pipelines. Laboratory vessels are borosilicate glass 3.3, also known as GG-17. Pressure vessels are designed to the related national standard and rule demand and carry an overpressure protection system with sufficient safety valves.

Manufacturing And Quality Control

  • Every procedure and detail is inspected during production, which is why a supercritical CO2 machine takes about 60 workdays to build.

Machines are supplied from 0.5L to 200L, and a larger capacity machine can be customised according to your request. On the distillation plants the volume of the pot is built according to the demand of the customer. Use Guide

  1. 1Cut and load the citronella or lemongrass charge into the 20L pot.
  2. 2Heat the pot to distillation temperature with the 4.5kW heater.
  3. 3Pass the vapour through the condenser and collect the distillate.
  4. 4Separate the oil from the hydrosol in the collection vessel.
  5. 5Empty the spent grass and clean the pot before the next charge.
