Export Shipping and Documentation for Trailer Buyers

A trailer sitting at a port because the paperwork is wrong costs more than the freight. We handle export documentation as part of the order and confirm which certificates your destination requires before the vehicle leaves the factory.

Trailer shipping is not container shipping. Many models cannot go in a box at all, freight rates move while vehicle prices stay fixed, and import clearance depends on documentation that varies country by country.

Stages

How The Process Works

  1. Shipping MethodBuyers assume everything ships in a container and then face an unexpected freight bill. Some models ship in sea containers; others must go by bulk or roll-on roll-off. We confirm the method with the quotation, because it materially changes the freight cost.
  2. FOB or CIFBuyers who quote FOB without a forwarder relationship often pay more overall. FOB means we deliver to a Chinese port and you appoint the forwarder. CIF means we find the forwarder, pay the insurance and deliver to your designated port. We work with many forwarders long term, which usually gets a better rate.
  3. Freight TimingA quotation that ignores sailing schedules is a quotation you cannot plan against. Quotations take one to three days, which includes confirming the nearest shipping schedule and associated fees. Vehicle prices are fixed; transport costs fluctuate, and we say which is which.
  4. Certification and DocumentsImport clearance stalls when the certification package does not match what the destination requires. We confirm which certificates apply to your destination before shipment. Individual models carry CE, ISO9001, ECE, GCC, DOT, CCC, ISO/TS16949 and API markings, and scope is verified per model.
  5. Loading and SecuringDamage in transit turns into a dispute between three parties. Vehicles are prepared, secured and documented for the shipping method used, with condition recorded before handover to the forwarder.
  6. Arrival and CommissioningA trailer that arrives without commissioning guidance sits unused. Technical support by phone or message on arrival, with engineers available to travel to your country where on-site guidance is needed.

Custom Trailer Engineering

A standard build is a compromise averaged across every market. Your axle limits, road surface, climate, cargo density and local parts supply are not average, and the gap between the average and your reality is where trailers break.

Choosing the Right Configuration

Buyers are usually given a model number and a price. What determines whether the trailer earns is the configuration behind that number, and it is easy to get wrong from a catalogue photograph.

After Sales and Spare Parts

The common failure is not a defective trailer, it is a trailer nobody can get parts for. Once a supplier changes model or loses interest, an otherwise sound vehicle becomes scrap over a single unavailable component.

FAQ

Export Shipping and Documentation Questions

Can All Trailers Ship in a Container

No. Some models fit in sea containers; others must go by bulk or roll-on roll-off. We confirm the method with the quotation because it changes the freight cost significantly.

Should I Take FOB or CIF

FOB if you have your own forwarder relationship and want to control the shipping. CIF if you would rather we arrange the forwarder and insurance. We have long-term forwarder relationships that usually get a good rate.

How Long Does a Quotation Take

One to three days, including confirming the nearest shipping schedule and associated fees.

Which Certificates Will I Need

That depends on your destination. Tell us the country and we will confirm which documents apply before the vehicle leaves the factory.

What if Something Is Damaged in Transit

Condition is recorded before handover to the forwarder. Contact us immediately with photographs and we will help you pursue it and supply replacement parts.

Start With Your Operating Conditions
