Product Overview
The UK series split core current transformer has been specially designed to make installation easy in new or already existing networks. They may be installed without opening any cable or busbar circuit.
An internal precision resistor across the secondary winding of the CT provides a low safe voltage output. It saves time and installation costs.

What does the internal precision resistor do?
It burdens the secondary permanently, so the transformer presents a low safe voltage instead of a current source. That removes the open secondary hazard and lets the output feed a voltage input directly.
