Product Overview
HK series open type current transformers are designed in particular for convenient installation. You do not need to open any cable or busbar when installing.
The core of the HK series open type current transformer can easily be opened, so installation and connection are available without cutting off the circuitry.
Based on the above features, the open type current transformer has more advantages when adding a CT after maintenance and after the circuit is already built.

Can the HK be installed on a live circuit?
The core opens and closes around an existing conductor without cutting off the circuitry, which is the purpose of the design. Live working must still follow the site's own electrical safety procedure and be carried out by a competent person.
Which frame fits a 20 × 30 mm busbar?
HK-23. HK-58 covers the larger 250 A to 1000 A duty with a bigger window.
Is a high capacity version available?
Yes, the family runs to 5000 A primary and the catalogue lists Class 0.5 on the larger frames.
